I get it. This feels just like another clickbait that many social media “influencers” would use as their key tactics to gain more exposure or a paid story for more “follow”.
At this point, with the chaos around us, it is safe to say that this story is not about that.
These photographers do not know me nor I do them. But I have been following their work for quite some time to understand that these are truly passionate people. And passionate people only means to inspire others.
One of the 5 photographers I will be talking about is Andrea Torres (IG username: andreatorresbalaguer). Torres incorporates fine art element in her work that creates a beautiful mystery around her subject matter.
She frequents female subjects to pave her visual stories and often, their faces are not visible.
With the choice of the darker background, she innovates the classic portraits into a postmodern work with a final touch of the paint stroke.
That highlights the uniqueness of her brand.
Ben Sasso (IG username: bensasso) is a freedom photographer. A photographer who cares about social injustice.
He photographs people on the road and often out in the open to capture the wild spirit across the land. Sasso also uses his platform to help share people’s voices.
If you are tending more towards fashion then Jingna Zhang (IG username: zemotion) is the photographer you can look up to.
Her work has appeared numerous times in magazines like Harper’s Bazaar. Zhang utilizes fine art and creative lighting to tell her fashion stories that produce a strong impact on the audience.
The late Peter Lindbergh (IG username: therealpeterlindbergh) specialized in black and white photography in the fashion industry.
Lindbergh had a way of showing the raw emotions of his subjects, every portrait feels like a cinematic scene.
The final photographer that made into the list is none other than Sean Tucker (IG username: seantuck)
He does so many things; streets, portraits, landscape, videography, and more.
Tucker is also a great online mentor for many self-learners and senior photographers too. He hosts a youtube channel covering not only the basics but also includes video teaching about your photo-related business such as projects, publishing, and magazines — the contents that every photographer needs.
Hopefully, this guide will be able to help any photographers that are trying to define their creative journey.
